At least 5 weeks of vacation until the employee reaches the age of 20. &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.admin.ch\/opc\/de\/classified-compilation\/19110009\/index.html#a329a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Art. 329a paragraph 1<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If an employee joins or leaves the company during the year, the vacation entitlement is calculated over the duration of the employment relationship. &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.admin.ch\/opc\/de\/classified-compilation\/19110009\/index.html#a329a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Art. 329a paragraph 3<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two consecutive weeks of vacation must be taken. &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.admin.ch\/opc\/de\/classified-compilation\/19110009\/index.html#a329c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Art. 329c paragraph 1<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The employer determines the date of the vacation, but takes the employee&#8217;s wishes into consideration. &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.admin.ch\/opc\/de\/classified-compilation\/19110009\/index.html#a329c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Art. 329c paragraph 2<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vacation may not be paid out during employment. &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.admin.ch\/opc\/de\/classified-compilation\/19110009\/index.html#a329d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Art. 329d paragraph 2<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vacation does not expire at the end of the year. The vacation entitlement only expires after 5 years. &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.admin.ch\/opc\/de\/classified-compilation\/19110009\/index.html#a128\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Art. 128 para. 3<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Further laws concerning vacation (e.g. reductions) can be found in the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.admin.ch\/opc\/de\/classified-compilation\/19110009\/index.html#a329a\" target=\"_blank\">OR.<\/a><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Two options for storing time entitlements in the system<\/h2>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Automatic entitlement regulation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manually entered claims<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p>We recommend that you <strong>always <\/strong><strong> work<\/strong> <strong>with the automatic claims <\/strong>. Only <strong>corrections <\/strong>should be entered <strong>manually <\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>As the name suggests, automatic claims are calculated by the system itself. Created annual vacation entitlements cannot be deleted!<\/strong> <strong>Changes to entitlements are only possible if they are not (yet) assigned to any employees, otherwise this can lead to errors in the vacation recording!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Activate \/ assign automatic vacation entitlements<\/h3>\n\n<p>For <strong>new employee profiles<\/strong>, the entitlement must be selected when setting the data entry profile. How many vacation days such a week corresponds to depends on the employment relationship, or more precisely the number of working days per working week.<\/p>\n\n<p>EXAMPLE<br\/>Let&#8217;s take a company with 4 vacation weeks per year as an example. An employee who works 5 days a week all year round is entitled to <strong>4 vacation weeks * 5 working days\/week = 20 vacation days<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>If an employee joins or leaves the company during the year, the vacation entitlement must be calculated accordingly in accordance with the Swiss law on the duration of employment. The law leaves open how exactly the calculation should take place. In practice, there are 2 types:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Commercial: Each month is treated the same for simplification (30 days).
