types"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4 article types<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In ems, a basic distinction is made between 4 article types:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Sales items<\/strong>: applies to sales orders via the POS system and via the online stores<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Material \/ order item:<\/strong> applies for entering as material in sales orders and for stock\/warehouse management (for tracking stock levels and reordering)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Service item<\/strong>: for recording as services in quotations and customer orders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Billable hours<\/strong>: is used for billing hours worked \/ billing type indicator (billing types are managed via the <em>customer order settings \u2192 &#8220;Billing types<\/em>&#8221; <em>tab<\/em>&#8211; read more: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ems-help.online\/docs\/verrechnungsarten\/\" data-type=\"docs\" data-id=\"4654\">Billing types<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"171\" height=\"92\" type, the articles are visible and selectable in different modules.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Without<\/strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong> <\/strong><\/span>activation of an article type, the created article becomes <strong>inactive<\/strong>, cannot be found in the search and can only be found via the article code \/ reference number!!!<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Article features<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following features can also be set:<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image class=\"wp-image-7165\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Inventory-managed item<\/strong>: the item is displayed in <em>Warehouse management \u2192 Inventory management<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Requires best-before date<\/strong>: optional, used for foodstuffs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Requires serial number<\/strong>: as soon as you activate this
