Recording times via the time clock #
A time clock is a simple way to track time. It is used to record “arrival,” “departure,” “shift change,” or “break” times.
Employees with the “Clock In/Out Only” entry permission may only record their times using the time clock. The entry and modification of times require approval from a supervisor. Learn more: Manual Entry and Approval of Corrections.
Employees with the “Manual Entry” entry authorization may freely enter and edit their times.

To start the time, first select the appropriate time type under point (1) and then click on “Start”. Time recording now starts. You can also close the app, but the time will continue to run.
To stop the time, click on “Stop”, this stops the running time. If no time is running yet, this function has no effect. Times can also be started from other locations (e.g. a recording terminal) and stopped here.
If you want to carry out a work change, you can directly select a different time type (or order) while the time is running and click on “Start”. The system now automatically stops the current time and restarts it.
If you are using an order-related time type, you must select the corresponding order (2) from the list before clicking Start.
Once the employee is authorized to record breaks, the “Break” button becomes available.
You can find an overview of the recorded times in the “Timesheet” menu section.
Recording time for the other employee #

Depending on your permissions, you can also enter another employee’s times. To do so, click the field in the middle at the top.
You can select the desired employee from the list. Please note that all authorizations and settings depend on the selected employee.
Recording times by manual entry #
Select the “Timesheet” menu section and click the three-dot menu in the lower-right corner → Time.

Depending on the setting, you only have the option of recording data via the time clock. In this case, the red “plus” is not visible.

First select the desired time type under point (1). After selection, the possible time recording types are displayed. These can now be selected under point (2).
Only then should you enter “date” (3) as well as “Start” and “End” (4). In simplified entry mode (when the “simple” entry type is active), it is sufficient to enter the number of hours without a specific time (e.g., 2 hours). The entry is always recorded on the day selected from the list.
The order-related time type also requires the order number (5).
Editing times #

As long as the data has not been released, you can select and edit it in the list.
Data can no longer be processed under the following circumstances:
- The data was transferred to time recording via a time request.
- You do not have “manual entry” authorization – i.e. you cannot change the start and end times.
- You do not have the authorizations for this time type.
- You (the employee) have already approved the data—as long as the times have not been finalized by your supervisor, you can revoke your approval.
- The data has already been released by a project manager (control visa).
- The data has already been released by a supervisor (final visa).
